Reincarnation

Reincarnation Reggae in Armenian language. Album recently released in Armenia

The first Armenian reggae band Reincarnation presented its first CD on 17 November.
All people present looked really excited, and I could feel this particular proud that we’re opening ourselves to new styles. Roland is the leader of the band, his songs are in Armenian.

Reincarnation has a page on Myspace, and fortunately some of their songs are there as well.

The songs are all in Armenian, which makes them especially sweet to hear, although a little weird in the beginning.

From my conversations with Roland I have come to see him as someone who is not only the leader of his band but also somehow one of the leaders in music as well.

By this I do not mean the music that comes out of radios, cars or the homes. Reggae in Armenia is basically underground, and Roland together with his band are among the underground leaders.
