Takes place online Workshop LebensBILD

Atelier workshop – Henrike Terheyden

The event takes place online. Please register as usual.

What fascinates Henrike Terheyden about the medium of drawing is the possibility of bringing together complex contents and trains of thought in an instant and making them accessible. Be it in a scientific context with the development of symbols and images for ideas, be it as a visualization of directorial concepts in storyboards or simply on a postcard that conveys a feeling – the medium of drawing is direct, yet complex and powerful.

The studio workshops take place in the artists’ premises or in rented rooms. Three areas are visualized in terms of content:

1. The way to art: The biography of the artist – told or illustrated
2. Working techniques: How and with what do we work?
3. Instructions to try out: The participants illustrate a biographical moment in their lives

21 female artists and illustrators from Dresden are involved in the project. They open their studios and show the participants their works, their working techniques and report on their lives as artists/illustrators.
