Initiating social change processes – today, tomorrow and in the future. That is the goal of the Robert Bosch Stiftung. That’s why current social challenges are constantly being addressed within the framework of charitable project and program work.
One of the foundation’s five funding areas is the area of society, in which civil society and cultural participation play an important role. This is also where our Saxony in Dialogue project is located. The support provided by the Robert Bosch Stiftung makes a major contribution to the implementation of the ‘demoSlam’ project module.
With a view to social changes (the familiar mix of demographic change: less-older-more colorful), changing forms of communication, and the increasing questioning of fundamental agreements in social and political coexistence, the Robert Bosch Stiftung supports charitable projects that help people to participate in social life on an equal footing and to get involved with and for one another. This is also where Saxony in Dialogue is engaged and seeks answers to social changes and the strengthening of social cohesion.
Saxony in Dialogue tests innovative methods to (re-)activate a lively and controversial culture of conversation. Citizens from different communities enter into the inner-Saxon dialogue about everyday experiences and opinions on topics that are important for society as a whole. Two project modules (workshops, discussion events) contribute to creating encounters and exchanges between village and city dwellers from Saxony.
